(Please note that donations made through Cash App will not appear on the donor’s giving statement provided by LUMC. You will need to keep your own record of giving made through Cash App in order to declare these as charitable contributions when filing your taxes. Also, we treat these donations as loose cash donations (similar to loose cash in or offering plate); therefore, all Cash App giving is treated as a general offering unless the donor indicates in the memo section of the Cash App ‘pay to’ screen, the purpose/fund of your donation. Please ensure that the verbiage matches for any special donation meant to go toward a particular need. (example: ‘Miracle Sunday’ or ‘Chili Cook-off Silent Auction’) Thank you!)
