Lakewood MDO: Where the child comes first.
2019-2020 Enrollment Information: It is time to enroll for the 2019-2020 school year that starts in August of 2019!
Below are the dates that we will start taking enrollment forms for the 2019-2020 school year. We will not take enrollment forms early. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis and we will take enrollment forms until classes are full. We must receive your enrollment form and non-refundable enrollment fee ($75 for nursery-PreK 3 and $100 for Prek 4) in order for your child to be placed on a class roster.
February 11, 2019 - Enrollment begins for current students registering for 3 days a week.
February 19, 2019 – Enrollment begins for current students registering for 1 and 2 days a week.
March 4, 2019 - Enrollment begins for new students.
The tuition prepayment to hold your child’s spot once enrolled is due by March 28. It will be credited back to your child’s account on their August / September invoice. The tuition prepayment due is $25 for 1 day students, $50 for 2 day students, and $75 for 3 day students. You can pay it at the same time you turn in your enrollment form and fee if you choose. It must be paid no later than March 28. After that date your child’s spot may be released to another student.
The age of your child on August 1, 2019 will determine their class. For example, if your child is 2 years old on August 1, they will be placed in a PreK 2 classroom. They will stay in that class for the school year. We do not promote students during the school year. This helps our students stay on track when it comes time for kindergarten eligibility.
Children enrolling in our nursery classroom must be at least 6 months old on August 1, 2019. For example, if your child is 4 months old on August 1, 2019 they are not eligible to enroll in MDO for the current school year.
Detailed information, the enrollment form to print and turn in to our MDO office, and a link to our 2019-2020 Parent Handbook are below:

Each classroom follows a schedule each day, with circle time, free play, and gym/playground playtime. Toddlers through PreK 4 have enrichment time on Tuesday and Thursday, which includes Spanish and Creative Movement. PreK 3 and 4 also have Chapel on Monday.
Once registered, your days stay the same each week. We do not provide drop in or extended care services.
About Our Program:
You can contact us by email or at (501) 753-6199.
"The child first" is a tradition at Lakewood United Methodist Mother's Day Out. Each child is an individual and should grow and develop at his or her own pace. Our staff strives to nurture growth in feelings by loving, accepting and approving of the children for what they are. Good personal relationships are also encouraged so that the child gains independence and learns cooperation.
Our program is designed to give your child a safe, stimulating environment in which to learn and grow. All classes have a structured day, with many learning activities taking place. These learning experiences are planned to challenge your child without exerting undue pressure to perform. We want your child to enjoy the time spent with us.
Staffing and Safety:
Our Director of Mother's Day Out is the very experienced and loving Sarah Ables. Contact her by email or at (501) 753-6199.

Fire and weather drills are practiced monthly.
All staff members obtain continuing education requirements yearly and most are trained in CPR.
