There's a Place for you!
At Lakewood, our Youth Ministry goal is to provide a safe place for our present and future church to grow in fellowship through learning and sharing their love for Jesus, our community, each other, and themselves.
From Sunday School to service, mission trips to worship, there is a lot going on for 6th-12th graders to plug in!
All adults who volunteer with our youth are certified in Safe Gatherings and background checked so that you know our young people are safe while they are having fun and learning!

ONgoing ProgramsYouth are invited to worship with the church on Sunday mornings. Youth are involved in worship service through music, audiovisual technology, and ushering! Between worship services, from 10-10:50, Youth Sunday School meets using our awesome Grow Curriculum. Sunday evenings Youth gather for a time of food, games, learning, and fellowship. During the Fall and Spring semesters, youth participate in Wednesday nights with the LUMC family, joining the church for food and then breaking out for games, study and fellowship with one another. Youth regularly participate in service, such as serving dinner for unhoused neighbors once a month at Canvas Community in Little Rock. |
Events & TripsLakewood Youth Events include Youth Week, Sr. High Revive, Flashlight Tag, Photo Scavenger Hunt, Catacombs, Summer Day Trips, and much, much more! We always participate in OMP - Ozark Mission Project! Our Arkansas Conference Council on Youth Ministries (ACCYM) hosts many activities to connect youth from all over the state, giving them a chance to embrace the larger community of believers. ACCYM events including Junior and Senior High Assembly, Methodist Family Health Missions, Refuge, and Veritas (the largest gathering of Methodist Youth in the state with over 1,200 youth in attendance). |
