Mother's Day OutOops! We're so sorry but the tuition listed in the parent handbook was incorrect. Here's the latest, correct, copy. We do apologize profusely for the error! (The correct rates are Nursery/Toddlers: $17 daily; Twos and Threes: $16 daily; Fours: $17 daily. Second child is $1 discount per day and third child is $2 discount per day.)
MDO will resume for the 2010-11 school year on August 30 (open house on August 26; here's a calendar). These are the few openings that we do still have to offer families:
Nursery class (6 – 12 months as of Aug 1st). Our nursery teachers are Ms Allison and Ms Linda. You will love them!! There is a max of seven babies in the classroom with two teachers. The next age levels (the creepers, toddlers, and two’s classes) are currently full. However, there is no charge to have your name on our wait list, and we will contact you if we have an opening later in the year. We will also contact you in the spring when we do our early in-house registration. Three's class: We have a few limited spaces open on Monday. Four's / Pre-K: We have four openings in this excellent Monday, Tuesday and Thursday curriculum. You must sign up for all three days. We receive great feedback from Lakewood and Crestwood regarding how well the children are prepared to move on to kindergarten. Give us a call and we will be glad to give you a tour and to help you get registered. Classes are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., August through May. Please be aware of upcoming changes in the NLR school district system if your child has a birthday in August. Now in NLR for 2010-11 the child must be 5 by August 15th. In 2011 the child must be 5 by August 1st.
Download our Spring 2010 Registration Form and our Parent Handbook. "The child first" is a tradition at Lakewood United Methodist Mother's Day Out. The purpose is for each child to grow and develop at his or her own pace. Each child is considered an individual. Out staff strives to nurture growth in feelings by loving, accepting and approving of the children for what they are. Good personal relationships are also encouraged so that the child gains independence and learns cooperation. Our program is designed to give your child a safe, stimulating environment in which to learn and grow. All classes have a structured day, with many learning activities taking place. These learning experiences are planned to challenge your child without exerting undue pressure to perform. We want your child to enjoy the time spent with us. We plan five holiday parties a year: Fall Festival, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's and Easter. Birthdays may be celebrated if the parent coordinates with the teachers in advance. Our Director of Mother's Day Out is the very experienced, educated and loving Gigi Schoenstein. We are a fully licensed facility and follow all state regulations pertaining to the welfare of children. Our program has been inspected and approved by the Arkansas Child Care Facility Review Board and by the local fire department. Fire and weather drills are practiced monthly. All staff members obtain continuing education requirements yearly and most are trained in CPR. For a current fee schedule please email Gigi or call the MDO office at 753-6199. |
