Sunday Worship Services
at Lakewood United Methodist Church
We have four different worship services to offer everyone a relevant and personally meaningful expression of their faith. Please be our guest this Sunday! We believe that faith is nurtured in children when they are part of the worship community, so we welcome children in all of our services. If you prefer, childcare is available for infants and children through kindergarten age.

11:00 a.m. "Trinity" Service
Here, you’ll find new ways of participating in the time-tested practices of Christianity. Focused on our connection with God, illuminated by the Chancel Choir and pipe organ, and informed by intelligent, reflective sermons, this is where you’ll recover your roots and discover your soul. In the Sanctuary.

11:00 a.m. "illumination" Service
Our newest worship service is like church in your living room... an intimate gathering of friends reflecting, children on the floor coloring, acoustic guitars strumming, and people rising to light prayer candles as they are moved by the good news of God’s love being shared. Gibson Hall.

9:00 a.m. "Blue Jean" Service
One of the first contemporary services in Central Arkansas, fifteen years later families are still coming to worship in a relaxed, casual atmosphere, overflowing with spirited preaching, with great music by the LEVItes praise band. Gibson Hall.

 |
9:00 a.m. "Wesleyan" Service
This service feels like a small country Methodist church from your childhood, with the sounds of the congregation singing their favorite old-time hymns and reciting the Apostle’s Creed coming from the windows on a bright, clear Sunday morning. Communion is served each week and the table is open to all. In the Sanctuary.

Easter and Holy Week, 2012:
We conduct worship services throughout Holy Week, the most important time in the Christian Calendar. A few highlights:
Our North Little Rock Community Easter Sunrise Service was wonderful. Hundreds of people came together to experience the joy of the resurrection and the triumph of eternal life over death.

 |
Our Maundy Thursday worship commemorates Jesus' last night on earth, when he commanded us to love one another as much as He loves us and then served the first communion.
|
All week long we provided "Real Time Updates from the Holy Land" to our 3000 facebook friends, just as if we were there with Jesus during His last week. Friend us! We are an inspirational, concerned friend who will hold you in prayer.
