Music

Lakewood UMC has a diverse and exciting worship music ministry that seeks to connect our congregation to God through fulfilling and meaningful performances and song selections.

We invite you to hear our Joyful Noise choir lead our 9:00 service and join in singing classic hymns and gospel music. Also at 9:00, the LEVItes lead our contemporary service with music ranging from classic praise music to spiritual secular music, from country to rock. And at 11:00, Barbara Lusk, organist extraordinaire, graces our traditional, classic Methodist service along with the Chancel Choir.

Lakewood also has two handbell choirs, the Jubilee Ringers and the Bells of Joy, and we also offer Wednesday Praise, a program of music, fellowship, and fun for children. Additionally, we host an annual "Music Under The Steeple" concert series that recently sponsored Children of the World.
